Before the last Petal falls

  • Roses are my favourite flowers to draw, singularly and in bouquets; the elegant shape and the crimson tones help to create a protruding effect from the paper. I'm a hardcore Disney fanatic and for this particular piece, I thought it appropriate to take inspiration from the classic film 'Beauty & the Beast'. Roses are linked to romance & love, which is the flower's main purpose in the film. The petals falling hold a darker meaning to show that the rose itself won't last forever.
