I have always been fascinated by Roman & Greek history. When my family and I went to Italy, we visited many museums that exhibited sculptures similar to the posture and profile of this beautiful woman. I remember gazing in awe at the architecture and the intricate detail on the 3D creations that used marble, granite & copper as the medium. As an homage to the great artists that created these models, I aimed to recreate a 2D version of their artwork while also adding some colour to create depth, charm and vividity. Perhaps one day, I will try my hand at making a clay model similar to some of the classical sculptures.
