Compasses have been used to identify direction since the 12th century and are still heavily used in many ways. In this instance, I have represented the compass as a metaphor to inquire which direction I should go in. All of us face multiple crossroad choices during our careers and lives. There is a saying of 'being pulled in different directions' and that is exactly what a compass identifies. To add some colour and depth to the sketch, I experimented with pastel coloured oil paint.
